Interviews and classics from Last Week Tonight and The Daily Show:
Some background information and a couple of interesting/hilarious interviews with John Oliver that provide insight in to how John Oliver approaches his show’s content. I found “The Rigor of Laughter” most enlightening. I had not seen this interview before writing my research essay, and was very happy to hear my research results confirmed by the man himself.
In Oliver’s main stories he does not laugh. However, in all of the interviews below he continuously displays an immensely maniacal laugh that enhances the hilarity of his interviews. Oliver is clearly a person who loves to laugh, a lot.
